We’re appealing to the UK’s knitters to help us by knitting a Staffie!
Do you knit? Do you fancy helping the UK’s overbred and abused Staffordshire Bull Terriers? Well now you can do both at the same time!
These Staffie knitting patterns are available to buy from Battersea Cats & Dogs Home, so if you knit one on behalf of Staffie Support you’ll also be helping Battersea to raise funds towards the many, many Staffies in their care too.
After you’ve completed your knitted Staffie you can either send it to us so that we can raffle it off or auction it to raise funds for Staffies, or you can sell it and send us the funds raised.
Every penny raised will be used to directly help Staffies by paying towards neutering/spays, other vet treatments, kenneling costs, transport costs etc. of a Staffie in a rescue or in the pound.
If you’d like to get involved please don’t hesitate to buy the knitted Staffie pattern from Battersea and get knitting! You can let us know via the comments below or drop us a line via email.
We’d also love to see photo’s of knitted Staffies in progress if you’d like to send us some.
Thanks so much to anyone who can help us out and do a bit of knitting for the cause
As we posted earlier this month, on Friday (13th April) Lucky 13 Tattoo in Leicester held a special ’13’ fundraising day for Staffie Support.
The day was a fantastic success and the total raised was £680!
We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to every at Lucky 13 – you are stars! The event was very well organised and professionally handled, and we’re incredibly grateful for your support.
And also thanks so much to everyone who got inked to help the Staffies, or bought an art print or took part in our raffle.
You’ve done a truly wonderful thing and thanks to all of you more Staffies will avoid euthanisation and being stuck in the pound after being abandoned by their owners.
If you’d like to get updates on future events or how we use funds raised to help Staffies don’t forget to subscribe by RSS, on Facebook or on Twitter. Thanks!
The kind folks at Lucky 13 Tattoo in Leicester are holding a fundraising day for Staffie Support on Friday 13th April, at their shop – 192 Clarendon Park Road, Leicester (LE2 8GE)
We’re thrilled that Lucky 13 have offered to do this to help us help Staffies and we’re so grateful to them (thank you guys!).
Spaces are limited so call the studio on 01162 700 558 to avoid disappointment on the day.
If you’re in the area or know anyone nearby who might like to get inked and help Staffies at the same time, please share this page and spread the word!
“We at Lucky 13 Tattoo, are supporting Staffie Support by tattooing number 13 tattoos for the incredible bargain of £13!
Please understand that only the designs on the sheets in the studio will be tattooed. This is so our artists can do as many tattoos as possible. No alternatives will be done and people are limited to a maximum of 2 tattoos. This is an opportunity to have a small tattoo to support the charity not a cheap way of finishing your existing work.
The number 13 is extremely provident in tattoo culture and is a sacred number to some religions. It is the number of the rebel! Get yours done and help the most noble of breeds, the staffie!”
