One year of Staffie Support – what we’ve been up to so far

Staffie Support is now more than 1 year old (1 year and 7 weeks old to be more exact) – hurray!

So we thought it was about time to give everyone a proper update on what we’ve been doing to help Staffies during our first year.

Between June 2011 to June 2012 we’ve raised over £1500 for the UK’s Staffies thanks to our fantastic supporters who’ve sent regular and one-off donations.

Thanks to these funds raised we’ve been able to help a number of Staffies by funding their neuter/spay operations, vaccination costs, emergency kennelling etc., and have sent out donations to a variety of UK rescue organisations and poundie helpers including:

As well as financial donations we’ve helped more Staffies find homes via our Adopt a Staffie page, and have had lots of enquiries from people looking to adopt.

We’ve also had lots of emails from people needing to rehome their Staffies and have been able to put them in touch with genuine dog rescues who can help give their Staffie the best chance of a safe and successful rehoming.

Another big step in our first year has been to get the support of our first patron, Charles Eades. Charles has very kindly agreed to work with us and we plan to support each other however possible in our future endeavours.

Charles has also witten 2 special short stories featuring a Staffie and he has given these to us to release. We plan to put them out very soon so please keep your eyes peeled for these :)

We’d like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last year, especially everyone who has sent a donation or helped to spread the word by putting up posters or sharing our website links.

If you’d like to get more involved with Staffie Support in the future or have any ideas for ways we can raise awareness or funds for Staffies please do not hesitate to get in touch with us – we’d love to hear from you.
